99 coupe window anttena question

So my new tint looks great, (haven't had time to get pictures yet),
but now my AM is gone. Before tint my AM/FM reception came in
on scale of 1 being the worst, to 10 being the best at about 6.
Now my FM is still at about 6 , but the AM is like a 2. What to do?
Has anyone heard of a kit to bypass the windows FM/AM attenna , and connect to a regular outside vertical AM/FM attenna ?
My 99 Silverado has a outside vertical and both FM/AM come in at about 9.5, very good reception.
Thanks in advance
The folks that did my tinting did NOT sand down the dots or anything else. Just a good window clean before applying a one piece NON METALIC film - came back two days later and added some vinal as the dots just didn't look right.
The shop has no clue why the AM now has static in it. I've checked the plug, brused off the connector to get it shiny again and still no AM without annoying static.
