ups....fedex.........they all ream us out here in Paradise
Then WHY do you call it paradise? Wait till California falls into the ocean and then you will have a close neighbor and shipping will be cheaper.
My Arizona front yard will be beachfront then............and then I will be in paradise..........
but I digress...........
shipping is one thing
handling is another.........
ever see an item for free and then see an exorbatant amount for shipping and handling?
how do you think those warehouse order pullers and shipper clerks get paid? By FedEx and UPS and USPS? It sure isn't by the SHIPPING charges...........
and I didn't sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night either

ups....fedex.........they all ream us out here in Paradise
First, I'd like to say that myself or the dealership isn't going out to dinner with whatever is left over from shipping costs. What we charge is fair and reasonable. We appreciate the business we receive from the forum members and don't take advantage of it.
You seem to be focusing on being told 28.50 shipping for the rotor. I have stated that it was for the entire order.
Such as the gentleman said about shipping 2 rotors for 50, that is the case!
I also feel that if there was any problem with the amount you were to be paying, etc, that you should have taken care of the issue then, and not placed the order and came here and trying to get a case built up.
This is the first time in my 5th year in doing the internet business that I've been challenged by a customer on the price of shipping.
The bottom line is that you have to take into account the gas prices, etc, now a days. Just about a month or so ago I was shipping GTO hoods for 110 or so. Now the price is 210! Who do you think is receiving the benefits for this? Me?
As far as drilled and slotted rotors, etc... since the beginning of their existence I've been less expensive shipped than any other competitor! I would challenge a competitor to get them to you less expensive!

The Forum allows a factual post on an unresolved dispute with a vendor or another member once all efforts to resolve the issue offline have been exhausted. Then, the post must be factual and cannot be used to bash the vendor or the member. Once the post has been made, it cannot be repeated in other sections or on other days.
Moderators will try to leave such threads open until everybody with direct knowledge of the issue being addressed has had a chance to provide their version of the facts. The thread must not become a running debate on the accuracy of the “facts” and may not deteriorate into an exchange of personal attacks.
Once there has been the opportunity for the facts on all sides to be posted, the thread will be locked. It will remain in the database and will be available for review by those who are researching the topic, vendor or member.
The Forum is not in a position to monitor transactions or to determine the “true facts” in most disputes. Upon request, however, the Forum will try to intervene and mediate a settlement suitable to all parties in a dispute. When issues are resolved in the matter, it will be posted to the original dispute thread so it becomes part of the searchable record. We believe that is a more useful record of performance for potential customers than would be an eBay-style rating system.
As has been our past practice, members or vendors who show a pattern of unresolved issues will be removed from Corvetteforum.com
