Today was the day my son and I decided it was time to install the new Mid-Am skins on the seats. They have been sitting in the shop until we both had time to get to it, as he had already installed his and knew the procedure. All went well until we discovered that the flap that folds through the hole in the seat back was both too wide and sewed on about 3/4" off center. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper at this point with both seats out of the car, stripped of the original skins and a road trip scheduled for next weekend. I'm sure Mid-Am will take care of it, but I'm out of time at this point. Doubly disappointing is the fact that when my son got his from Mid-Am several months ago, the stitching was messed up on one of his and had to be returned. They were great about fixing the problem, but I'm wondering if others have had similar experiences with their covers. Maybe I should have stepped up to the plate and bought the "higher priced spread" from Vette Essentials.
I spoke with Mid-Am this morning and they checked the offending part. They admitted that their pattern was wrong and are making up new covers for me now. I will have them either tomorrow or Wednesday so I'll let you all know how it goes from there. They were very good about taking care of me so no complaints from that standpoint.

I had No problems with fit or quality of my Mid America interior.
I have seat skins, console cover, door grips, shifter cover, ebrake cover ( beta tester ), and accent surround for the active handling panel. Being retired an on a fixed income, I opted for this package at right around 1100 dollars for everything...
Ken wanted 2500 just for the sports seat skins. If I had the money I would have gone with the VE, beacuse I feel his leather and quality is the best on the planet. I just could not afford it.
Mid America's leather is thick and soft, and a step up from the original skins... but not the quality of Ken's.
New seat backs arrived with the corrections made and the install went ahead as planned. There are still some small things that I felt could use some work, such as the ends of the envelope which houses the string tie for the seat bottom. They needed an extra thickness of material stitched in to prevent tearing the end of the envelope loose when pulled tight. About an inch at both ends tore loose on the first seat bottom and I re-stitched them with kevlar thread. No problem, it doesn't show anyway. The second bottom got re-stitched before install to prevent same.
I also felt that a better (and easier) install puts a bead at the point where the seat bottom wraps around the bottom legs of the seat back. As supplied, there is a flap of material which wraps under the corner and though it comes out OK, a bead would make the install cleaner and less hassle.
Mid-Am took good care of me with the problem seat backs, I have no complaint there. Hopefully they will check inventory before shipping to future customers, as they admitted that there was a problem.
Overall I would rate the finished product at about 80%, but I am known to be pretty particular. Are the Mid-Am cover worth $1000? With some small improvements, probably.
If I had it to do over again, knowing what I know now, I may have gone with the Vette Essentials covers, and might get a wild hare to take these off in a few months and do just that. I'll see how these hold up before I make that decision.

Stuff happens........ Fortunately for me, my Mid AM seat covers (EB with Black accents) were 100% on the money. The $1,000 that I saved looks real sweet in my bank account! At least their customer service was good.
I've been more than satisfied with my MA seats, console, shifter boot and door handles. The seats were only $899 when I bought mine. VE is great but $$$.
Mine fit like a glove and some friends with VE can't believe it when I tell them what mine cost. I put them on myself too after an uhholstery shop quoted me $500!!! Thanks to VE for the online instructions though
