Just received my Predator for my ’01 auto and I had a few question (see scan/tune section please).
My vette is street use only, mostly stock, what are some good “mildly” aggressive shift points? (RPM and MPH). (Would like to shift fairly smooth when not WOT).
Will disabling the torque management make it shift harder under NORMAL acceleration?
Found this for you on a earlier post about the Predator
I would not be too unhappy since even if you went to your local tuner they are not going to tell you exactly what they did. Most of the programmers add a little spark, remove a little fuel, change the fans settings for a 160 degree thermostat and since you have an A4 they played with the torque management a little. Basic stuff. Do you have a 160 degree TS ? Have you raised your shift points to 6300, have you set your shift pressure to maximum and your shift delay to minimum ? these are all things that will help you go faster at the track. Have you used the Predator as a scanner noting whether it has any knock retard that could be slowing you down or whether the fuel trims look Ok or how much spark advance you have at WOT? I was able to get my 2000 A4 in the 12s with a Predator with a James tune, an LS6 manifold, a Blackwing, and a Corsa Pace exhaust.
Thanks Purefun. I have been searching too. I guess i will just do trial and error method. Each vette is different - so what works for one may not work for mine.
