Sorry...another IPOD question
I'm getting a NEO ION from www.mp3yourcar.com. I don't have a factory changer installed and I want to make sure I get only what I need. So this is my list....
GM10-AUX
COR-HAR
NEO ION
Is that all I need? If so please say yes...If I have too many items or not enough please list. Thanks.

If you have the 3 pin and the 4 pin connector in the passenger footwell you will be all set with what you have listed.Paul
another good looking product is the www.monstercable.com/icruze
I put 3 NEO's in my car before I went iPOD. THEY SUCK IMO ! Fried the first one the first time it turned on. The other 2 just plain wouldnt work. (and took them to 2 different installers who couldnt get them to work either) When I called NEO they told me installation was my problem not theirs.

There are many more threads on it.. go to search and just put in iPOD.
Select C5 and then select ARCHIVES. Have it sort ascending order and all the step by step ones will come up first.
Good luck ..
It also has Tuan Le's email and info. He's the best to work with

I'm still on the iTrip "FM Transmitter", but have been quite curious about this setup as well.
If you go this route, please post some pics and a detailed "install write up" for those interested.
and good luck!Dr. Evil

If you purchase your NEO iON iPod adapter through mp3yourcar.com, you will NOT need to purchase anything extra other than the COR-HAR CD-changer harness (and you only need the COR-HAR if your Vette is not pre-wired for a factory 12-disk CD-changer). My 04 Z was NOT prewired.
You do NOT need the GM10-AUX adapter either (not with the NEO iON setup anyway).
If you purchase your NEO iON adapter setup through mp3yourcar.com, it will ship with the following:
1. iPod cable to connect your iPod to the NEO iON adapter box.
2. NEO iON adapter box.
3. AB-GM10 harness to connect the NEO iON adapter box to the COR-HAR CD-changer harness (the COR-HAR then connects into the AUX port plugs located in the passenger side footwell area).
Now, if you are mechanically inclined, you can modify one end of the AB-GM10 harness by cutting off a plug and connecting the wires directly into the AUX port plugs; the instructions are included. So technically, the COR-HAR harness is optional too.
But for $40.00 (through mp3yourcar.com), I chose to just purchase the COR-HAR harness making this setup 100% plug-n-play
PM me if you want the link to order the COR-HAR through mp3yourcar.com, at 40 bux, it is the cheapest I've seen for this harness (they don't list it on their website for some reason; you could call them too). There's PLENTY of room to stuff the NEO iON adapter box and the excess cable bundling up inside of the passenger footwell area. And that's the downside to using the COR-HAR harness, you will end up with a @hitload of cable bundling
I absolutely love this setup, I have not encountered any issues as of yet.

LarryW's directions are excellent! I followed a thread of his a couple months ago and once I got the parts my IPOD was connected and playing in my 2004 Z in less than 15 mins.
Thanks LarryW..........
