Default CHrome HRE's - Check In!

OK I need to satisfy my curiosity!

I have ruled out billet rims as the polishing sucks. This leaves chrome as my choice so I am looking for 3 piece as if I get curb rash I can get them fixed without losing an arm, and a leg.

So with that being said, show me your wears as I want to get either 547's or 847's.

These are my full chrome HRE 540s. I went with the Z06 width, but now I wish I had chosen 19/20s and 547s.

After awhile chrome will break down. I've had lots of experience with chrome wheels and some have lasted longer than others. But that doesnt necesarily mean that it has something to do with the chroming process as some of you may think. Sure, some are much better than others but its really a matter of physics and chemistry (molecular bonding at high temperatures over a period of time)

I know some of you will disagree because you have had chrome for a long time without flaking and peeling but trust me, you have been lucky. Here is a pic (sorry, its the only one I have at the moment) of my polished HRE Wheels. Many think these are chrome (and I'm not even really good at polishing wheels plus I'm lazy !). With the nicely polished HRE wheels, IMO, Chrome really isnt necessary and isnt worth the risk

the claipers are NOT painted - they are chromed.

VinnyG (forum member) does this work - and the quality is excellent
