I searched the forum for answers but didnt see what I was looking for. It seems like the hurst short shifter is more precise shifting, but is the shaft that much shorter? Or is the c6 shaft shorter but the shifting is not as precise, can I install it on my c5? Can anyone comment. I always miss the shift and want a shorter shaft.
Thanks in advance.
Try cutting an inch or so off your stock shifter and see how it feels before you buy something else. You might be satified with that. Not that I was. After Carlisle I'm going to try the C6 shifter.
"As a quick summary of the shifter, I really don't notice much in the way of shortening the throw. To me it's perhaps a 10% improvement if I had to put a number on it. It's definitely smoother though and the **** is a big improvement over the C5 ****."
It's funny how the C6 shifter slant essentially does what the BPP shifter allows, and that's to move the **** away from the straight up position. For adjustabilty AND super-short throw, it's tough to beat the BPP.
