Yesterday I got an email add from another vendor that stated 10% off sale. So I went the site.. Yes I thought the tires were fairly priced and given 10% off I would buy a full C5 set of runflats. But the email stated you would get 10% off at the verification of purchase. I got to the verification of purchase but did not see the 10% discount. I called the vendor to ask. The contact person told me he had the same email and would check to see where the 10% discount would show up. The answer.. It won't tires aren't discounted. I commented that they should either send out an adjustment to the email or give the 10% off. The contact person checked with the VP and was told there was a disclaimer in the email. "*10% discount available for online orders. Some parts are non-discountable.
The website did not identify which items were non-discountable and if I had ordered expecting 10% off, I would not have received the 10% by placing the order. To make matters worse I would have no way to know about the 10% until I got the final bill. By then it would be probably too late to do anything about it.
I may still buy tires from this vendor,, but my local dealer is very close to matching the online vendor and I don't have to haul or store the new tires. 10% would have made the difference.
SO "buyer Beware".. as normal in all business and look for the "non-discountable" in the small print
