Rough Idle...Help
We have a 99 coupe, automatic with 41K and no problems until now.
The past two days I've noticed that when we are driving around town and come to a stop the engine begins to run rough then it usually settles down while we are stopped. Then sometime when we begin driving it will run rough until we get going then it's OK. No warning lights or messages coming on? All gauges are normal (oil temp, pressure, water temp, etc). The only thing out of the ordinary this week was putting a bottle of techron in the gas tank a few days ago to get rid of the gas gauge problem (that seems to have been remedied).
Before I take it to a mechanic does anyone have any advice or suggestions about what might be causing the problem? Would like to have some idea what I might be getting into before they work on it. I also have the uneasy feeling it might get worse with time. Going to make an appt next week.
