I guess I should get used to this?
Hi jmliles -

I am not certain how long term your relationship is.....my wife generally does not balk at my suggestions (heck, she has her OWN vette....)

But...perhaps some nice metaphor for her.

You can live in a house without light dimmers, automatic dish washer, landscaping, and even perhaps window dressings (heaven forbid ) , just as you can drive a corvette that does not have headers etc.

It just makes it more enjoyable.

If a person cannot enjoy life (within your means of course), then they are doing something wrong.

good luck!

best regards -

I want LT's in the worst way but they are illegal in Cali. You can have them but are worried about what the GF thinks. Come on man! The only thing you should be getting used to is taking control not settling for less than you want. Why is it that when the woman wants something it's alright but when the man wants something it's like "can we really afford that honey". It's going to be a long ride for you brother.

Get the LT's and the Stingers and don't sweat it!

That about says it, and she'll likely wind up respecting you more for it.
Most women want a man with some b@lls, not some pushover.

Told my wife b/4 we got married not to every get between me and my car. It's a place she doesn't want to be....
And if she had a problem with that, I'd have hoofed her.

But on the other hand, only and only when everything more important's taken care of like kids, house, credit cards, etc.

...you could have said "I NEED to spend my money on wine, women and song"...at least this way she KNOWS where your money goes and where you spend your time

Why are you sweating what a GIRLFRIEND thinks about what you buy???? She doesn't like it, she can take a walk! There are plenty of good, fine women that are Vette enthusiasts out there.

Don't settle.
