"I like big butts and I can not Lie" I love my C5 big butt and all, everyone can kiss it as I go by. That being said I drove a c6 vert today and let me tell you it is all vette. That Montery red is awesome, now if I can just get passed the 65G price tag for 40 more ponies I will be alright. The interior felt a little tighter than my 99 coupe, in a good way, the trunk closed nice and it handled great. I know big deal about the trunk, but since I replaced the rubber stops on my hatch I really have to slam it to get it to close. Big is relative, I used to drive a Dodge 1500 extendo cab now that is big and hard to park.

Default Great topic

When I glance out my office window and look at my C5 with the nose pointed towards me on a diagonal I have often noticed that it is a big car especially for a two seater. I don't think it is an illusion. Sitting next to a Mazda 6, BMW 3 series, stealth and a Taurus it looks bigger. I think the reason for this is more because of the width of the C5 rather than the length. The car is very wide at nearly 6 feet. The others I mentioned are closer to 5 to 5-1/2 feet. The car is more muscular than the ones I mentioned giving it a large appearence. Compared to your standard sports car like a BMW Z4, miata and Honda 2000 its a giant. Is it to big? The answer is no. The platform for that kind of horsepower must be larger to provide stability. When you look at the exotics like a Lambo or high Ferrari like an Enzo you will notice a large foot print. Viper is the same way. I had a Viper come up on me the other day and that car was huge.

Followed a C6 into work this morning. It definitely looks anorexic from behind! Maybe they are trying to appeal more to the export market, especially the Europeans. The C5's rear definitely has that American sports car look: low and wide!! Love it!!

IMHO the rear of my C5 is pretty big, especially compared to my C3. It's a little wider too, but overall it actually shorter. Too big? No way! I really like the additional room inside.

Has anyone ever parked next to a Vw Beetle ( the new one)? I did. Guess what? Our cars aren't much bigger. The C5 is close the the size of a Ford Taurus as well. It looks "big" because it is the size of most 4 door sedans, but we only have 2 seats and 2 doors. I don't think of it as being big at all

The C5 in my opinion is perfection at its finest. My C5 is proportionately perfect, its length, width, and height complement each other creating one of the finest Corvette designs yet.

Speaking of which, if the C6 although smaller and lighter, it is taller than the C5, so aerodynamically it is less aerodynamic ( I think ), but because it is lighter than the C5 and with the bump in hp, it is faster. The C5 may look big, but if sexy is big. I'd go for it.
