replace sensor battery w/ new tires?
not sure if i'm posting in the right place but is it generally a good idea to replace the batteries in the pressure sensors when you get new tires? i've searched & read threads on resetting the sensors thru the dic w/ a magnet. just curious if others have replaced batteries when replacing tires. thanks in advance. bub

Since yours is a 2000, I would probably not bother replacing the batteries, unless you have over about 50K miles on it. However, it is strictly a judgment call. I am still using the original sensors in my 99 and have had no problems. However, I do have an extra sensor, with a new battery installed, handy for use when I get that xxx pressure message on the DIC.

Normally the batteries in the sensors last anywhere from 5-8 years. You're about half way in that range. Kind of a judgement call on whether to replace or not.
