I am thinking of going with one of the following sets of tires and would like some opinions please. BF Goodrich g- force T/A KDW2
Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
Michelin Pilot Sport
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Of the tires you listed, I can personally recommend either the D3 or the KDW2's. Both are excellent for street drivers and are a huge step up in handling and wet weather performance over the GY runcraps. They are both excellent in the bang for the buck department too.
I had D3's and loved them (still do), but when I bought new Z07 wheels I wanted to increase my tire widths and the D3 is only available up to a 275/18, and I wanted a minimum of 295's in the rear.
I now have the KDW2's and really like them a lot. Excellent grip and the pricing through Tire Rack was hard to resist. HTH

Currently I am running Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's, not 100% thrilled with them. On the track they take more heat before they will hook up and on the highway they run hotter than the F1 Supercars they replaced. The Supercars were great tires but made me nervous when I got caught in a thunderstorm (Iowa in '03, Kentucky in '04). I got caught in a storm in July in Baton Rouge (Dennis was coming ashore) and I has the Michelins on and didn't have a problem.
The people in out Corvette Club that have the Gs-D3's just love them.
