Default Blue Headlights

I was thinking of replacing my stock headlight bulbs with the high intensity blue ones from Ecklers (PN:45009). However, I dont know how they'd look because I dont have any pictures. I would greatly appreciate if anyone could send me pics of a c5 with the blue bulbs (pop-up lights only [as opposed to le mans style] please )

Do NOT buy just the blue bulbs. Colored bulbs have lousy visibility at night. Although, the Silvania Silverstars are an improvement of over the stock halogen bulbs.

If you really want the Blue look, I would get a complete HID conversion kit for around $300.

That's what I was afraid of...thanks, maybe later down the road I will go blue, but for now I'm happy. Unless for $80 I could make a huge improvement It isn't worth my money

Get HID's, they are much better than just a blue bulb.

Do they happen to make a kit for C4s?

Im sure they do, but I havent looked for one specifically. They are generally listed by the type of bulb you have. The factory low beams in a C5 are a 9006 (i believe) halogen bulb, therefore you would buy a 9006 HID kit. Just find out what kind of bulb you have and do a search on google or something.

Have to agree, the stock C-5 lighting is a bit yellow. I tried some of the aftermarket HID look lamps of higher wattage and they were way to blue. Came accross a rally lighting place, Competition Limited in Pickney, MI(hioutputbulbs.com). They offer a higher wattage light blue tinted super white bulb, that produces a whiter light than stock. I use them in my cars with good results.

$300.00. Is that a real price? How tough is the install?

Thanks

If you want much better lighting go for real HID. What a difference!

alternatively, you could do the 9005 conversion for next to no cost. it's a big improvement over stock.
