Average Clutch Life Expectancy
I have stock 1997 with 37,000 miles on it. I am going to have a 4.10 rear put in. It was suggested to me to replace the clutch while I'm at it. I don't want to be a penny wise and a pound foolish, but really don't want to spend the extra money if I have a good bit of life left in the original clutch. What do you guys think? Should I go ahead an replace the clutch now? How many more miles could I reasonably expect on a stock clutch?
FYI, I do drive the car fairly hard. I NEVER powershift and I don't ride the clutch very much when I launch.

If your not dumping it all day, It will last 100k easy. But get on it all day and shift like crap and you will get 10 days out of it.

My two cents worth.. I replaced my stock cluch @ 30K and on inspection of the cluch after removal, it looked fine. I replaced it with a SPEC cluch stage III, BIG BIG differance on HP to the ground it was truly a great fealing at the track ! !
