I installed mine about a year ago..and I don't regret buying it in the slightest.

It works...though I haven't tracked or dyno'ed the car since installing it, the results are noticable (there are plenty of track examples to prove it works). Also, one of the corvette magazines installed and tested the system, and verified that it does actually increase RWHP and track times.

While the quality isn't OEM caliber, it's effective and the uneven cuts that i noticed are concealed when installed.

I say buy one!

Just got mine in the mail today.Looks simple but better made than what I could fab up.I might take some fiberglass and contour the scoops filling in the fog light holes so it gets more air or maybe some black duct tape.Even If I get 10-15 rwhp its worth the $300.

I dry fit the system and then removed it. Took black silicone and sealed every area that had any space at all. Let it dry for 24 hours and re-installed it. Works perfect with no spaces, holes, seams nothing.

I personally dont like the fact that you spend $300+ dollars and keep the stock airbridge and crappy stock flexible coupler.. With that said, I have a Halltech Stinger and it's great... except that I have open foglight cold air screens and my motor gets covered in road dirt. So, I am going to eventually get a Vararam and use it in conjunction with my Halltech Stinger. Basically taking off the Halltech filter and using the Vararam on the end.. This way I wont be throwing dirt all over the engine bay.

steve
Nope...not throwing it all over your engine bay, just inside your engine instead???

Peace

I like mine, Just replaced the VR foam filter with the K&N. The foam filter has an outer foam gasket that was fall off after 3 or 4 months. So i took it off and glued it to the new K&N filter then silicone it in for an airtight seal. I check my TB before i put the K&N in and it was perfectly clean. I used a motorcycle foam filter oil (very sticky) so i think the VR foam filter worked ok I just did not trust it. According to an old corvette magazine (forgot which one) the VR put down like 16 HP to the rear wheel on the dyno. Some say with cooler air from moving it could add another 5 hp so 20/21 hp may be more realistic. I am happy with my VR and my engine bay stays clean.

I bought mine after a discussion with a club member who is at the strip most every weekend..
He advised that with the VR install ,he cut his pre VR 0-60 by 0.2 and his pre VR ET 0.3 with a 4 mph increase in speed. After 6,000 miles of use his throttle body "remains clean as a whistle"
That was enough hard data for me from someone that I trust.

I think its a pretty decent design given the amount of space available.I think the straight shot of air is a plus also.
