So I would think he had already passed away, before the impact, or had a death wish? either way it is a sad deal!

Thats correct... he hit that thing either a: without seeing it, or b: wanting to die

there are no indications of braking there... he plowed right into that full speed... however fast it was, which means he didn't know he was going to die, and it was instant... at least that is good...

Looks more like he was trying to pass someone using the shoulder. Appears he hit the truck straight on; not at an angle. He either did it on purpose or was being incredibly stupid. If he had fallen asleep or had an MI he most likely would have hit the truck at an angle as it was "parked" on the shoulder. Whatever happened it was a tragity.

He must have ploud at a high rate of speed he almost came out the front of the truck. Sad but a reality make you think before you stomp on it especaily on the highway you don't expect someone to be stoped.

I don't know those roads, but the report said the truck was at a stand still, parked. The vette wouldn't have to be going more then 50-60 mph to get underneith it like that (that glass isn't that strong, wouldnt' take a lot of speed to get completely under)

58 years old.......1:00pm?? I'd bet he felt asleep or had some condition that hit him or something.

Very sad. Prayer's out to the family.

Im gonna agree, he probably wasnt speeding or being stupid, and lets not hope that anyone with a corvette would have a death wish. i know no matter how bad my day was driving my vette cheers me up. this topic has been locked at least 3 times this week. its hard to see over and over again.

How sad. What a terrible sight and tragedy. God bless him, and, his loved ones. And, may he rest in peace.
