I've seen this several times this week already too.. very sad... Our prayers to his family.

We probably shouldn't be discussing it but since some of you have, I'll add my comments...

Antilock brakes = no skid marks The marks that are there may have been from when the car started to shut down/disintegrate and the wheels did lock up?

The car is indeed centered into the rear of that truck.. no flinching going on.. a normal person would have turned out if you would have seen it coming...???

When I first saw it posted, the comment was made that they didn't see the bar that hangs down on the rear of trucks like that (For several reasons, this being one) But the brackets are there in the left side picture...

I read in Ann Landers once about how when you hit a tree going 55 MPH, what happens in the first full second after you make contact with the tree.
How the front of your car is stopped and the rear is still going nearly 50 MPH and this is like at .3 or .4 seconds after the front of your car has hit the object... Sad indeed...

Default Time to stop the lies

I know this is old but I've seen this on Facebook too many times about a fellow corvette owner who was supposedly texting and driving. I for one have had enough of the lies.

Imagine If you had a family member who was killed in a car accident and every time you turned on your computer you had to see this type of slander. While I understand people are trying to send a message about texting and driving. There are much better ways to go about it than to make up lies about someone that is no longer here to defend their self.

I know there is no way to completely stop this but If you happen to see someone post this on your Facebook please set them straight. A investigation was done and till today there has never been a conclusion to what truly happened that day, Also as you all know corvettes don't have back seats. In the made up article that is floating around Facebook it states that Joe's head was found in the back seat.

I know there were probably many errors made on that tragic day but none of us know what truly occurred. CF members this is the time to come together and do something for a brother.
