Sorry for any misunderstanding...i too am a first vette owner...i was referring to those who collect the vettes purely as a status symbol...rare breed, but disturbing none the less. no harm intended...i wouldn't dream of labeling anyone without meeting them first...i am only saying that not all vette owners love their car as much as we do...
No worries mate! Thanks for the response. Friends again!
I'm surprised by how many waves I get from the C6 owners. Been snubbed by a few, but oh well. There's no need for a thumbs down from a Vette owner. Maybe he has a rice car at home and got confused.

Exactly. That is what I can't get over. If waving isn't his thing, then fine, but going out of his way just to slap you in the face with that thumbs-down is mindblowing. I hope that guy realizes that 'Vettes are not for him and he sells it so a more deserving owner can take over.

I've gotten waves from some C6's, mostly they just don't notice or understand what I'm doing, but this has been the 3rd time this has happened to me and one reason I won't buy a C6. I don't like the way they look anyway. The rear end looks like 'bucky beaver' with nuts in his cheeks walking backwards. I still maintain they are NOT a better car than a C5, any more than a C5 is a better car than a C2 or 3, just a different vintage. What gives with these morons?
I hate to break it to you but there plenty of new c5 owners doing the same thing to the c4 guys not tooo long ago. Here's one for you
almost all of the vette people wave when they see me. there is the occasional one who doesnt know about the wave. usually female c4 owners. i have waved at 3 seperate ones and have made eye contact and they look at me like im retarded.
the only c6 owner i have spoke too was a great guy. he didnt wanna "PLAY" but was cool.
As we know, there's more to Corvette ownership than simply having one. Some people don't get that. Man, returning a wave with a thumbs down. If that don't beat all.
Wow, a Corvette pecking order of some kind All kidding aside, as so many have said before... "It takes all kinds"
I like the C6 and almost bought one but chose a C5 instead... I'm just happy to share in the pride of owning an American icon!!! IMHO, a Vette's a Vette and all are great cars regardless of year. However, unfortunately, that doesn't seem to hold true for their drivers at times. Sounds like that guy had "immature moment" or some brain-lag
