Free Money
Anyone that has had a sponsor or currently has one, please tell me about your experience. Good, Bad, or what? Would you suggest for me to do this?
So your recommendation would be "NO"?
Thanks for the info.
Does anyone else have any advice for me? Do these things work like they say they do? Any hidden suprises?

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I can tell you , you probably *will* end up doing such over a few years anyway. But the problem w/ *this* deal is that they want you have to have invested that in the time frame of the next year.
Do you have ~$14.5k to invest in your car right now? If money is no object, then why not?

I am planning on doing quite a bit of work in the next year anyways, so this sounds good to me, I am just interested in other people's ideas opinions and experiences.
Have you had any past experiences from sponsors that may help me in my situation? Or any advice?

To tell you the truth, and you said it yourself, there's nothing special at all about you or your car yet, somehow, out of the blue, someone wants to throw money at you in exchange for displaying a couple of stickers? Are you smelling the coffee yet?
I'd love this to be true for you but, somehow, it looks and feels like the classic "sponsorship" that ls1 mentioned which is simply a hook to get you to buy stuff from them. It's even got the same percentages and show requirements. Are you sure this company isn't Sport Compact Pro?
Thanks. I wouldn't like to be in debt, especially at a young age.

They said that it is a 55% discount from parts purchased from them. They do not make the parts, they are basically ( I think) a middle man. The company said that they have 315 vendors that you can pick parts from including...... RK Sport , SLP , & Texas Speed. I couldn't get the entire list, but those 3 companies are pretty reputible, right? Isn't RK Sport GM?
It is very neat to see others that have seen this offer and know the companies that do this " sponsorship " program. Does anybody know what the "catch" is? Or has anyone done this type of "sponsorship"?
If companies like Rk Sport, SLP, & Texas speed supply the "mods" for these companies to sell, then what is the donwside? Is the "55%" off not really true? Do they offer any discount versus buying the parts yourself? I would think that there is some sort of discount.
I guess what I'm asking is, If this "sponsor" is able to offer the same parts that I would buy direct from these companies at a discounted rate then where is the downside to this?
I love the feedback guys, please keep it coming.
