Hazard switch install
Hey guys,
I have the issue of the turn signal not working all the time and I was told it was a faulty hazard switch. I'm contemplating doing my hazard switch myself and I've heard some horror stories but I think it's ridiculous taking it to the dealer to do a simple job. Has anyone done there's and if so can someone give me any tips or hints to make it easier. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've got the same problem- the turn signals only work sometimes, other times nothing. I tried replacing the fuse, but no luck. However, if I push the hazard switch a few times, the turn signals work perfectly. For about a week now I've been able to make it work this way, and haven't had to do anything else. is it possible to just push the emergency hazard switch in and out repeatedly and thereby clean the contacts? It seems to be holding so far....

I don't want to tear the whole dash apart, so I'm really hoping that cleaning the contacts by exercising the switch will be a semi-permanent fix. It's held for a week now, so if the turn signals stop working again, I'll just keep pushing the hazard switch until it comes back.
