I find mine to be about 5% off, which is not too bad.

If you punch in AVERAGE, not INSTANT AVERAGE, you can see the figure change on the fly if you go from light cruise to heavy foot for a few minutes. You can drop it a couple of tenths in minutes!!!

I don't know how often it calculates, but it's fairly often.

Like has been noted, the bottom line is that it really doesn't matter. Gonna drive the car regardless. I was just kind of thinking that since they went thru all the trouble of PUTTING it there, they might have wanted it to be, you know, functional in an accurate manner. If accuracy isn't all that important, just a "feel good" display, they missed a few things. Maybe a display that says "You're one good looking person", or "You should join MENSA". Like the average mpg, it will be accurate for some drivers, but the rest of us might wonder where they got their information.

At least that much but..........................when launching with the 97' @WOT............it reads 0.2mpg. That I believe
