Default cooling fan question

I have a question I am looking for the answer to. I recently bought a 2003 z and when i start it I can hear the cooling fan come on almost immediately. The engine is completely cold after sitting all night for example. Is this normal for it to come on almost as soon as the car is started? Could there be a wiring problem? There was a bunch of crap insalled on the car that I took off the night i bought it ie, neon tubes and relays and fuses relaed to that stuff. I took my time and took it all out very carefully. Could that be the problem or could it have an aftermarket programmer that kcks these on early or all the time?

This will happen if you are starting it with the AC on or the defroster on.

If the above is not the case have it checked out. They come on at much higher temps if stock.
