Hey folks, I have a problem hearing my wife while driving with the top down. Well, I guess thats not much of a problem! Lets say that she has a problem hearing ME. Thats better
Anyway, I can't afford the $400 vette net, so I thought I'd try to make one myself. If there are any of you out there that have one, can you tell me how it bolts or clips in? Any pics would be helpful if you have em.
I have one of the old ones and absolutely love it, it is made of mesh screen. The new ones are acrylic and are much lower in height, not providing as much wind protection, and they have been recalled due to rubbing against the waterfall!
Anyhow there are 3 pieces, 2 of them are brackets that fit under the tonneau cover and have holes where the windscreen itself (which has a post on either side) slides into.
You will probably have more luck with strapping an acrylic piece to the seat backs such as the ones sold at www.windbaffle.com . Seems to be much easier to fabricate. I can post some pics of my windscreen but have no idea how to upload or host them.
