Default Blue headlight bulbs?

Did anyone replace their regular bulbs with the extra bright "blue" bulbs sold at auto parts stores?

The only replacement bulbs worth a crap are the Sylvania silverstars.

I tried the "BLUE" lights 1st and the result was BAD. I couldnt see anything, not to mention 1 week later when I finally tried the silverstars, all of the blue coating on the lights had pretty much flaked off.

Basically dont waste your money on anything but the silverstars. The sivlerstars are better then stock but FAR from HIDs

Default Not in rain.....

I have some in my F-350 and they are just fine, but when we get rain down here, thankfully rare, it's like driving with half-light if that makes any sense... I would personally stay away from any light source that has 'blue' in its description...

Most of the "blue" lights are just a normal bulb with a blue coating. As result the coating cuts down on the light out put. It looks brighter due to the glare that the blue causes.

Also depends on what wattage you got.

Did you get 55s? or 100s

Silverstars 9006 only since I rarely use the high beam which is the 9005. I know I'm cheap that way.

SilverStars were on sale at AutoZone last month. Might want to check to see if the sale is still going on.
