This was at the car show last weekend. I've never seen one like this.

Yes, its a retro body on a C5. Ive seen them. Looks good but not the real thing. Although, I guess if you want a vette that has all the modern bells and whistles and the old look, its the way to go.

I've got a pretty good hunch that we won't see many more like it.

I know of two. There is a specialty company that does these plus some other exotic work. (Sorry do not remember their name)

Kind'a reminds me of the '60's when you had all of those Yenko's, Baldwin's, and Nickey Chevrolets available. Lots of folks felt that they could build or modify their own easier (cheaper?) and so only a limited number were sold... guess which ones are selling for the big bucks today??? How many of you passed up a good deal on one because it wasn't a factory car or had been run a bit hard?

I don't have a crystal ball, but some of these quasi-factory built cars could be the Yenko's of tomorrow??? Makes you think...

Interesting retro look for the C5 that has been available for a couple of years now. Thanks for sharing the pic.

The company that does the conversions is call Advanced Automotive Technologies, in Rochester Hills Michigan. Give them your C5 Convertible, plus $32,500, and they will make your C5 look like a 1953. They have a website, but I don't remember the rules about linking to a site.

I'd rather put my C5 and that $ toward an '06 Z06.

I've seen those here and there! If you were rebuilding a total I could see doing that!
