Here in Des Plaines we had a Z28 camaro for a little while that was confiscated ina drug bust as well as a mercedes D.A.R.E. car. Pretty cool cars and the camaro was kind of intimidating cause you know you wouldnt be able to get away. But it was only inservice for about 2 yrs. Don't know what ever happened to it. Oh well. It was cool while it lasted.

Police/Sheriff budgets don't have enough money for more cops on the road let alone a Z06

Trust me, thats real. Bloomfield Hills, MI is about 5 min away from where I live. They have plenty of police Z28's too. Bloomfield hills is quite possibly one of the wealthiest cities in Michigan.

Jackson, Michigan used to have a C4 fully marked police car. I don't know if they still have it or not. They used it mostly for public relation work going around to schools and such, but it was used for traffic duty on occasion. A few speeders on I-94 saw the red lights in the rear view on top of a vette and had a nice talk with an officer.
It was a confiscated vehicle from a drug bust and there was an article about it in the local paper when it was put into service.
