Although the picture looks to be a set-up, the Corvette cop car is a reality. It's not uncommon for some departments to spend the extra money to get a unique and servicable patrol car that provokes interest from the younger community members in order to promote safe driving and pride in their local PD. It's also a good attention getter at PR events like DARE and Child Safety promotions.

back home in GA, there are some counties that have ZO6's, and Dodge Ram 4x4s (for the offroaders). On the back of the ZO6 it says "brought to you by your local drug dealer"

What i think happens is that they confiscate the car in a drug bust...if they dont get enought at auction, they keep it
