I redline at least once every time the car goes out. I baby it to 160-170 degree oil temp, then turn off the TC and let her rip.
Usually redline in 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
Every one of us knows their local spots where the LEO's do not usually hang. I, for the life of me, do not understand those who buy this car, then proceed to constantly drive like grandma. The car is designed around endurance racing, and can easily take more than what most of us will dish out.
You'll all be proud....I simply needed to blow off some steam, so off to the highway ramp I went, 1-2 PUNCHED, 2-3 chirped. Mamma Mia, this thing has some snap!!
It took a while to push it, but man, what a nice smooth pull! I feel MUCH better!!
F1 Fan, I USED TO have a Lingenfelter 383 in my 90 c4. I have not changed my forum name YET. That's where the 383 came from.
Comparing the 383 to this...the 383 definitely had more grunt(480 foot pounds) obviously. I can't knock this factory small block though. It's a screamer JUST how it came from GM.
I dont run it to redline everytime I drive it, but I like to have some fun with it. That doesn't mean the car never sees redline. Lets just say, last week, I was taking the g/f out of town for something and when merging on the interstate, she was getting on to me because we were doing 90 well before the on-ramp ended.
For me the Accelerator, is an ON/OFF Switch! LoL.. I drive my car, and I drive it hard always... I Beat on it, It Breaks, I Fix it. Sometimes it's..... (You) Beat on it, It Breaks, I Fix it LoL
