I know this is probably a combo of me not thinking or being to **** retentive but how do you remove the front plate cover? It appears that for the top you just press down to pull out a tab. Is the bottom similar? Need to get the car inspected in NJ and put it on. Also will the cover fit back on over an affixed front plate? Figured I just keep it on underneath in case I get pulled over and will use the old forgot to remove after that last car show excuse.
2 small phiillips screws under the cover plate. You can see where they attach in the front shot in Your Photos.
BTW - If you are in a state that requires the front plate, I HIGHLY recommend the Smoothie from Kewl, Inc. They paint to match your car and deliver in 5-7 days.

there is a way to add velcro to the whole setup so you can easily remove and put on the front cover over your plate.
I will have to look it up though.
BTW - where by the shore do you live? Maybe we are neighbors...
I did that "Velcro Mod" before I went to the Smoothie. Still have it availble for when I vacation out of state. Unfortnately, LEO here in Ohio have no sense of humor when it comes to front license plates, so I ordered the Smoothie.

WW, I think I had heard that before. I was going to try just reattaching the nose overtop of the plate. I'm in Avalon but dating a girl in Manahawkin if you see a black Vette on the parkway between 13 and 63 could be me. Where are you?
BTW, got it off (temporarily) and passed inspection.

Sounds like a pita to me.. I put mine on over the plate.. no problem... and I feel secure in the fact that it will stay on with the two phillips screws.
Of course, in reality, it's PITA no matter what when you have to run that front plate...
