Noticed the backup lights are not working.
1)Both bulbs check good (checked with ohm meter and battery on test socket).
2)Have ground from both sockets to tail light sockets (checked for short with ohm meter across the sockets).
3)Have 12+ volts at each socket with bulbs removed. Will barely move volt meter with one bulb in (either bulb either socket).
4)Replaced relay (what else could it be(haha)).
Any help? Iknow this isn't exactly rocket science but it has me stumped. Everything checks good (kind of) but it doesn't work.
There is a back up lamp switch on the side of the tranny. It just screws in to the casing and there is an electrical connecter plugged into it.
Cheap 5 min fix.

I had the same problem. Brought the switch($18 i think) and installed it. Took all of 10 mins. Most of the time took jacking the back of the car up! Its on the right side of the tranny and just screws in.
After I had posted my question. I took the time to read the owners manual and discovered the aproach light option. That works, soooooo I guess I'll be getting a switch tomorrow.
Picked it up this morning at a ocal Chevy dealer $19.00 and some change. Get home tonight and get it changed out. Maybe then I'll be able to see where I'm going in reverse. Yes it is way more fun forward, but sometimes I get lost and have to go back and find myself.
