I was in the Holland Tunnel on my way into NJ when I heard something sweet exotic sounding approaching me from behind... I automatically thought... it has to be a ferrari, lambo.. or even porsche.... was I wrong! it was a MY z06 So he slowly drives past me and slows down when he sees me to it in shock.... he winks and takes off like a ****....I was dying to ask his about it but couldnt keep up in the audi....Now heres my dilema.... what exhaust did he have??? It didnt really sound throaty.. just high pitched ferrari sound.. i doubt it was magna, triflo, or anything similar. I had a borla catback on my cobra but this didnt have that bubbly tone to it...
Every change done to a vette, from the throttle body, valve train, headers, cats, mufflers, and tips will change the exhaust note.
Every modification that involves the volume and velocity of air coming in and going out will create a change in the exhaust frequency.
It would be impossible to tell exactly what set-up he would have.
However, I did see an ad once for a corvette exhaust designed by a european manufacturer. They specialized in ferrari and lambo aftermarket exhausts. I believe the name was "Tubi" Italian exhaust systems.
