Im positive the car had LT headers with nocats, and a Ti Zo6 catback exhaust,. buddy of mine had this set up and the car sounded like a ferrari, most amazing sound ever. HOPE THAT HELPS
I've heard that QTP (quicktime performance) longtube headers give the car a higher and more exotic sounding exhaust note.
I`m running the QTP Tri-y`s / Random Tech cats/x-pipe with a B&B Bullet and my son says it sounds "like a Ferrari on steroids," your description sounds familiar!
I dont know if its just me that thinks this, but Corsa states that the Touring exhaust has the "crisp and exotic" note to it opposed to the muscle rumble of the pace car edition... when I listen to the clips I totally think its the other way around.. The pace car ed. seems to have that higher pitched exhaust note to it.
Well I have Stingers and it sounded muscular, but then I got Kooks LT headers with hi-flow cats and their x-pipe and it gave the car a far more exotic sound. Making tunnel runs my import buddies said it sounded like an American Ferrari.
We have done a series of modifications starting with just the PRT's all they way through to our current 600 HP C5R-427. Each change resulted in a moderate to significant difference in the exhaust tone. However, IMHO the most notable change occurred after we installed the current aggressive cam & we increased the compression.
