Default Need help with harness choice.

Picked up my hardbar and B-K sub belt kit. Now I need the harness. What kind do I need that will wrap around the bar and bolt into the bottom. I have next to no clue about this stuff. Any help appreciated.

There are different brands available, but I went with Sparco's. They have a great quick-release cam design, and the Sparco name is well-known in racing. But what you want is a 5-point harness. There will be two shoulder straps, two lap belts, and one anti-sub belt with a central clip. Note that the anti-sub belt attaches to TWO mounting points on the floor and forms an upside-down "V" with the clip splitting the belt in half. This is important as far as I'm concerned, as it's like having two belts straddling that most sensitive of areas, and not one belt bisecting (heaven forbid!) that area.

Now I can't think of the name of the place in VA where I bought my belts -- but I'd say that most speed shops that sell harnesses and are familiar with the BK setup would be able to make sure you get the right belts.

EDIT: I remembered the name of the place where I got my harnesses! Email me if you'd like the name. Very knowledgeable folks who are familiar with the BK bar setup.

I was actually looking at a 6-pt G-Force Camock harness. Do I need any more parts to install this in the car or will it just bolt/clip into what I have already?

I'm in the same exact seat as you silverbullet, have the AZ Speed and Marine Harness bar, getting the lap kit soon, and have no idea about harnesses. I have the sport seats. I know you need clip-in if you do the BK lap kit. I was also told 6 point, and am looking at the G-Force line.

Hopefully to help, I'll ask my questions here.

What brands have the best camlock mechanism, and why?

Any big comfort differences between brands?

If you guys know what model # for G-Force fit our cars, please share.

I have the clips for 2-3" belt systems, so I have that base covered. My main question is about eye bolts, spacers, brackets, etc that may be required or that don't come with the belts.
