Default Moroso Corvette Camp?

Hey Guys,

You've now seen some of the reaction of Corvette owners after our amazingly successful Johnny O'Connell's Corvette Camp at Carolina Motorsports Park this past weekend. I will tell you that the rewards for Johnny and myself were plentiful in that we watched people go from clueless to dialed-in in less than 8 hours! We want to contiunue our momentum and do another day... We are thinking about a one day at Moroso Motorsports Park on Friday December 9th (Johnny O's Christmas at the Circuit).

Those of you who are interested please email me at streetcircuit@bellsouth.net or please go ahead and reply to this message. We need to figure out how many people would give up a Friday before we commit to a large sum of money!

Be a DRIVER, not a POLISHER!

I'm sorry, not familiar with this. Can you provide more information or direct me to a web site? I may be interested and know a few friends who might as well if this is what I think it is.

Hey vettenuts, I hope Rick Swarts doesn't ming but I copied Rick's post from another Thread. This should answer many of your questions. I was there last weekend and it was a great event!

Hey All,

Thanks for the response! A few of you guys already know the program but for those of you who are saying " what the hell is it?" Here's a brief description:

Johnny O'Connell's Corvette Camp is an opportunity to experience how to drive your Corvette the way it was meant to be driven under the educated eye of Corvette Racing's star pilot Johnny O'Connell. We will teach you the technical things that make the difference between your knowing how to drive and knowing how to DRIVE. Any who went through last weekend will tell you that Johnny is as effective an instructor as he is a racing driver... That means he's the best in the business at both!

We strive to offer an experience that gives you one on one training from the most successful American active racing driver in the World. Those of you who may not be aware of Johnny's resume, here's a snapshot:

24 Hours of Le Mans: 3 Wins in the GT Class
24 Hours of Daytona: Overall Winner 2001
12 Hours of Sebring: Winningest driver in history
Petit Le Mans: Winner
IMSA GT: Driver of the Year
Current ALMS GTS Drivers Champion and fighting for the 2005 Crown!
Along with those accolades, Johnny has raced in The Indy 500, won races and Championships in virtually every level of open wheel racing including Star Mazda, Formula Atlantic and Indy Lights.

Corvette Camp also capitalizes on the community/family of Corvette owners and goes the extra mile to make your experience something you'll never forget. You will always have a catered lunch, a shirt and cap and one on one time with Johnny O. He is an incredibly personable and enjoyable guy to hang out with and he genuinely wants to teach you how to be a better, safer and more efficient driver of the greatest sports car in the world, Corvette!

I don't want to sound like some info-mercial but we had three different people who attended Corvette Camp last weekend say we didn't charge enough... One guy who ran both days said "it was the best weekend of my entire life." They built up their confidence as drivers and experienced driving a Corvette at their limit in an environment that promtoted safety and control. We had no damaged cars and a group of HUGE smiles!

We have not yet set the price for this "potential" Corvette Camp but we are doing all we can to keep it in the ball park of $400-$500 per day. Which when you look at what you get in racing terms is a GREAT deal. DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT... READ WHAT EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED SAYS!
