I'd wait on the LS1 edit tuning until you're done modding to get the full benefits out of it & to only do it once. It will cost between $350 & 500...

Intake/Headers/Exhuast, my guess....

Yes when you are done adding performance mods, get a real dynotune if you can, Its worth the money. Be sure you use someone who knows what hes doing. It way better than the handheld

yes, I/H/E is intake, headers, exhaust

might go heads, cam and tune as my next mods...want it to still be a good DD as it's my only car so undecided on pushing it any further...might just tune and leave it there

For me, the LS1 edit program was worth it. Andy at 21st Century Muscle Cars tuned my car to 390 RWHP with I/H/E.

Don't waste your money on one of those all-in-one handheld programmers.

good number
I was thinking somewhere in that area might be attainable with tune

how did you end up on tq? I'm at a "lowly" 360lbft right now

Are you looking for the most power for your money? You probably don't need new plugs and wires. The Stingers don't really add any power, they just make you louder. A 160 degree stat is kind of low.

Install an airbox, LT headers and hi-flow cats (keep the stock cat-back), a 172 degree TStat, and get a LS1Edit dyno tune (not a handheld tune). That should give you over 390 RWHP with a great sound.

hey man. sounds to me like you're buyin a performance package from a site like west coast corvette or somethin. im not tryin to hate by any means but i would adamently suggest you dont go that route. Throttle body bypass and wires dont do anything. Go for specific parts and have an idea of what you want the endstate of your car to be. a better exhuast are the B&B bullets, i just put them on my Z, they're amazing. i agree with everyone suggesting long tubes. im puttin either kooks or lg's on mine in november. anywayz, make sure u do some good research and good luck man!

Hey buddy...no its not a package from WCC. I already have Borla Stingers, Halltech Intake system with ssm filter, and throttle body bypass installed. I am only thinking about plugs and wires because to my understanding it will enhance my combustion system by a long shot. I really want to have 400 RWHP but i am hesitant about headers b/c i have 5 year warranty.....the LS1 edit usually gives about 30 RWHP so i figure with high flow cats, x-pipe, stingers, halltech intake, plugs/wires, Throtlle body bypass, 160 degree thermostat i should get pretty close......I am by no means an expert....thats why I post.....maybe i'm wrong......if anyone can tell me how much RWHP i should be producing it will be great......remember my goal is about 400 RWHP without voiding my warranty!

I would think w/ that setup up you'd have somewhere around 385 or so RWHP. I haven't seen many people break 400 w/ just bolt ons(i'm sure some have though). I'd forget bout the plugs and wires(unless u have a ton of miles) and the TB bypass. IMHO HP tuners>than LS1 edit by a mile and prefer the Vara-ram to the Haltech. Just my .02

This is the way i figure it out

Borla stingers.....5 rwhp
x-pipe...............2 rwhp
random t. cats....2 rwhp
halltech ssm.......10 rwhp
160 therm...........2 rwhp
beru plugs...........1 rwhp (if that)
msd wires............1 rwhp (if that)
Computer tune......20 rwhp (LS1 edit dyno tune by Bill Kelley Chevrolet)

That puts me at about 390 RWHP or close to it....adding headers should put me at my 400 mark shouldn't it???......i'd say cams would put me at about 430 rwhp....i dont understand how some people are telling me by adding long tubes to this equation i wont even break 390 rwhp!!....anybody?

I think you are overestimating the efficacy of the majority of those mods
I would get it on a dyno now so you have concrete before and after benchmarks to look at
