taking their car to a dealer and using the CarMax warranty? My car needs a repair and I was curious what anyones results were using the CarMax warranty?
I have a non-GM, bumper-to-bumper warranty (7-year, 100K miles) sold by the Chevy dealer (cost $1000 when I bought my '01 coupe new), but since my car is elsewhere I cannot check the brand right now.
In any event, I've used it to replace a faulty headlight actuator (the old runs-on for 5 or 6 seconds after turned-off syndrome). The total bill was over $350--perhaps closer to $400, but since I have $50 deductable I was out the door for that price.

Not on my Vette but I bought my Jeep Cherokee from them and that warranty has paid for itself and was a great decision to buy. It has cost me $25 on a couple of fairly expensive repairs. The one here in Charlotte, NC was very easy to work with. Good luck with yours.
