I just got my vette loweredso I figured I should get an alignment. Do you guys think I should take it to an alignment shop or to a GM dealer? There is an alignment shop a little ways from me. They said they have never done a vette but said they could. What does it usually cost for an alignment? thanks
I lowered mine on stock bolts last week and got an alignment yesterday at a local repair shop where my bro-in-law works. Based on the readings before the alignment it definately needed one although it drove fine. I've only got 4000 miles on her but droppin' it changed the alignment that much.
I personally would go to a place that has done a c5 before just for peace of mind.
Where I got mine done a 4 wheel alignment is $100, unless you have a relative that works there! (then it's $50)

My sister used to work at a dealer but now she changed jobs. Darn it.
I got new rear tires and a 4 wheel alignment done at an NTB close to me. They said my alignment was way off before hand but now my car drives pretty bad. Once I get up around 70mph it just feels very jerky and will catch the smallest rut in the road and dart out of the lane unless I am always on top of it but they say my alignment is good now. Plus, there is about an inch of play in the steering and there use to be none. What should I do?

Take your car back. Also, in general, dealerships sublet most alignment services to other local shops. Therefore, you might call up the Chevrolet Dealership Service Department, and, ask the Service Manager where they send the C5's for alignment. Moreover, always ask the manager of any shop if they have ever worked on and aligned a vette, and, how many. Then, go to the one that appears to have the most experience. You might also ask the service manager for information regarding local Corvette Clubs. Get in touch with a local Corvette club member and ask them where their club members take their Corvettes for service and alignments. Good Luck to You.

Thanks for pointing that out. My bro-in-law's shop does alignments for all of the major dealerships in the area. He told me the same thing the edensknight mentioned above.
Thanks for the info. I will call chevy tomorrow. Really need to get it fixed soon since I have to drive *cringe* 100 miles round trip to work every day in it.
