I finally own my 1st Corvette. I actually found it here from another forum member (dilligas). It is a 2001 Mag Red II convertible, 1SC package, 6 speed, just under 19000 miles. Car has oak top and interior with all options. Mods that came with the car include a Hurst shifter, Blackwing intake, Corsa pace car exhaust and a complete FLP long tube header system including high flow cats and off road pipes and X-pipe. The header system is ceramic coated by Jet Hot coatings. Very, very clean. It is a 9 out of 10!
It is sooooooooooo much fun to drive. My wife and I picked it up two weekends ago and drove it from Charlotte back to Atlanta - top down all the way despite the 90 degree temps. (If you lean forward just a little bit you get a good breeze up the back of your shirt) What a great trip. Weather here has been great the last two weeks so I have been driving it every day. What an awesome car.
Thanks to a bunch here on the forum as well. I was able to learn a good bit before I got serious about my search and ultimately it helped me make a great buy.
Oh, Bravo! And, Congratulations on your first Vette. Sounds like you and your lovely wife have scoped out a beauty. And, with low mileage and mods to boot. Now, you will know what it is to have the "Permagrin" grin. cheers.
