Default Simple question

On what years did the C5 come with that extra strip from the front side hood scoop that runs across the door (I don't know what it is officially called) and what years did it not have it?

It's called a body side molding and it was an option every year.

Some people like the BSMs, some don't. IMO, it looks pretty good on the car.

I had a choice when I bought my '04, and chose to go sans BSM.

That about covers it. It will just come down to your preference.

People with BSM's tend to like them because...well, they came with the car and it gives them an excuse to park near other cars without fear of damaging their doors . Personally, I think it is a distraction of the beautiful and graceful lines of the corvette, I'd do without them and be careful where you park!
