Putting a C6 emblem on a C5 is like putting a Z06 emblem on a non Z06 Vette. In my opinion, it just isn't right.

IMO, the emblem is a big part of each generation of Vette. I think it is wrong to put C6 emblems on a C5, but it's your car and you should do whatever will make you happy.

At least then you have what you want, and not what everyone else thinks is right. There is a lot of mods out there that I really question as to how anyone could put that stuff on their cars. But it sells, and people are happy with their purchases so the stuff keeps getting sold. To each his own, and don't let others tell you whats right or out of place.

Maybe a little horse would look good up frront too.
Reminds me of the 4 cyl Musyangs driving around w/ 5.0 badges on the side and a tiny single tailpipe. Of course you shouldn't do it.

BTW: Ask a stupid question, be ready for some original answers. Yes, it is rice, and trailer park all in one. Just the way it is. Some people like trailes too, but stop making our cars easy to laugh at.

I did not ask a "stupid question" I asked if anyone had pics of it! how in the world is that stupid question? I did not ask "should I put C6 emblems on my C5" now did I? No sir! You know I have been a member on here for a little while now and have grown to love it, but after some of you schmucks put ur .02 in you have put a bad taste in my mouth about the whole site! If anyone is acting out of ignorance on this thread it is all you postwhores that had no reason to post in this thread at all! So there for yes " I do see dumb people" as one jackass put! You are all mature adults mostly over friggen 50 years of age that probably have broken a hip ot two, yet on the internet you act like your back in grade school and feel its funny to tag team up on an innocent person asking an innocent question!

Grow Up!

No one went "ape ***" in this thread. Everyone just stated their opinions. That the whole point of a message board. I don't recall anyone insulting you directly, just the idea of the "false badging".

All I have to say is, if the shoe fits, wear it Well, I guess there is something else to say. Your skin should be a little thicker, it will help to keep your blood pressure down.

You are correct it wasn't a stupid question, it just wasn't correct Corvette etiquette. Because no self respecting true blue Corvette driver would even consider that question.

what about z06 badges on a FRC that has the z wheels, brake scoops, brake screens,ti exhaust, seat covers, cluter, red fuel rail covers, you would never know(the vin cannot be seen from outside)

these are the rules on badging--your car makes as much HP as the one the badge came from and it's ok, i looked them up in the c5 ethics book

Well, I make about 50bhp more than a C6 - so I can "legally" keep the C6 badge?

I like the C5 emblem better but even if I didn't I would want to stay with the generation emblem.

Understood!

So we should not cross-gen our cars, nor put badges other than the originals. So therefore, we should not put C6 wheels on our C5's, or make a standard FRC into a ZO6 replica, OR put ZO6 wheels on a non ZO6, I am getting the hang of this! Whoo hoo!
