MN6 Question...Bad Trans???
I recently installed a Hurst shifter in my 97 vette...very cool right...the short shifts and everything feel real awesome but my question is this...and i think it might be bad. I notice that when i was cruising down the freeway I couldnt shift into 5th gear. So i pulled over and checked all the gears. Sure enough I couldnt get it into 1,3,5,R. So i shifted down into 2nd to get going again (2,4,6 are all OK) I didnt want to break anything! Is linkage loose or is a fork bent or whats the problem? Please dont tell me i need a new trans...She only has 38000 miles on her. I posted in the tech forum to but this section seems to be faster responses!
