This intermittent condition, is it with the remote or with the door switches? You could need a battery in the remote or you might have a loose connection at the wiring harness into the door. Of course it could also be the module but please provide more details on the problem.
It's the C5 gremlin. Ours sometimes will not go to correct settings for the seat and mirrors. It only happens to my wifes settings. I can have mine set at #1 or 2 and it works every time. It doesn't matter which one we set it for her it works intermittently. If she lifts her weight off the seat and sits back down, then it works. It's not like she is heavy or anything, maybe 130, and I'm a fatso 245. I figure it has to be in the wireing harness, but I'm not willing to go to a dealer and have it screwed op more than it is now. OH BTW my cruise control quit on me. It's no bid deal, because we only use the car around town, but still, these little things make me pissed that a mid $40s car has these little anoying things going on.

I had the exact same problem with the passenger side lock. I tried the things listed above with no improvement. So, I ordered a replacement door control module from Gene's Kar Shop (junkyard). Gene is a vendor on this site out of Florida. Two weeks ago I replaced the module and it has worked perfect ever since. New door control modules run around $200 but, you can find one at a junkyard for $50 - $100. Good luck and let us know if you solve the problem.
I had the door module replaced on the drivers side after it stopped working.
My passenger side started playing up recently. I reprogrammed the fob and it seems better now. I also find that the 2 clicks you need to open the pax door can be difficult to select sometimes. It needs 2 clicks almost simultaneously.
Thanks for the advice. I know it is getting a signal because I can hear it click on that side and if I assist the lock opening by gently pushing on it the lock will open. I am sure it is in the mechanism just don't know if it is the door module or the power window module, if they are actually different modules.

Don't know the part no for the RH module but should be similar.
Thanks for the info. The lock will always lock, but will usually not open. I can manually open it and it always will lock. Sound like a door module?
What is a good price for a nice used one. Heard some say $25-$50 and I see them on ebay for $20-30 and found one from a forum member for $75.

The symptoms sound just the same as I had. The module would be my bet. Can't help on the prices though.
The pass side door lock works intermittenly. Is it the power door lock module I need to replace or is it something else?
My 04 was doing that also but the window was working intermittenly too! Turned out to be a loose connection inside the hose where the wires run from the car to the door.
