Default Pocono PDA Pics

All I can say is that I am still coming down from my adrenaline high. Taking a Corvette to the limits on the track only ranks second to sex. That was the the most fun I have ever had in a car. PDA did an excellent job. Unfortunately I didn't get as many pics as I wanted. There were so many cars there from racing prepared Ferraris and Vettes to Miatas and even a Volvo station wagon. There was the typical mix of Vettes, Stangs, and Porsches; and there was a Lotus Elise....so many to name. PDA has never had a wreck but unfortunately a guys in a Honda S2000 hit the wall and did a good bit of damage to the passenger side panels and both wheels (would've took a pic but felt bad to do so). I had a great instructor that raced all kind of Vettes that safely pushed me to show me what these cars are capable of. Here are a couple of pics the extremely bored GF took. Camera didn't have near the capability needed at that distance and the GF kept mixing me up with a black C4.

Prestaging - instructor critique:

Over to the staging area:

Staged behing a fellow black Vette:

One car left in front. (Technically we weren't racing but my instructor didn't see it that way ):

Eat it Rustang! Actually that car was not stock and he got close on the straights and at this area of the track that is not Vette friendly:

Little to quick for the GFs picture taking:

Signalling to come into the pits at the checkered flag:

I know I posted this in the NE Section but just had to relay to all you C5'ers that this is a MUST DO. Two events left. One at Watkins Glen (which I was told is a total Vette track) and one at Limerock. Not only will you have the best time you can in these cars, but you will get a real feel for how they handle and their capabilities.

You mean that they didn't have some photographers around taking your picture so they can sell them to you?

Yeah they did but they haven't been posted yet. I remember them being kind of pricey but enlight of what I have I may take them up on it.

If anyone in the NE is interested, I posted the same thread in the NE Section and it looks as if there is another member, Track Man, organizing events in Western PA.
