I have the B&B PRT exhaust on my car and its loud at WOT. I did notice that at normal cruising speeds it was quieter. I can easily talk on my cell phone and often do conference calls while I'm driving. NOTE: I do have a handsfree, bluetooth headset so I can keep both hands on the wheel
I ordered and paid for the template from FixedRoofCoupe.com almost 2 weeks ago...still no template. I've sent emails but, still have not received a reply. One of the emails I sent through their website, had been returned as "non-deliverable".
I made my own also. I made my own cardboard template and from that cut the two 1" thick foam peices. I made one for fromt piece slightly (1/8") oversize due to the trim at the rear window bottom angling up slightly. In between the two foam pieces I sandwiched Hushmat sound proofing sheet. I then used Duct tape to seal the edges and covered the thing with black speaker box carpet.
Weights less than 1/2 pound and is a press fit install. It really does keep the road/tire noise at a minimum...
Total cost $28.00 including the three Coors Lights consumed during the manufacture.
It was a fun, easy to do project for an afternoon and the money I saved can go towards getting new rear tires, which, due to my wife's driving proclivities, I will shortly be needing...
