ok ok-lol no i did not mean if it was 6 spd-lol I was asking about the mn6, m12, t-56 I have no clue what they stand for and was wondering how tell which one it has.

But what if the windows are tinted.....or someone left a pizza box covering the shifter area, and they left their dog inside and it died in the drivers footwell covering the pedels... it's possible !!!!

alright guys...why is everyone acting like they are 12? I said it was a dumb question when I started. I know what a freaking manual trans is and how to tell is it manual, duh. I was asking how to tell what type of trans it was, like m12 or mn6 whatever u want to call it. So stop being smart and telling to look at petals and sh*t. So if there is any people mature enough to answer me that would be nice.

Check the RPO codes on the Service Parts ID tag - on '97 & '98, the tag is on the inside of the left storage-well cover. On '99 and up, it's inside the glovebox door.
