Default Performance Design Specialties

I am aware of some complaints with Performance Design Specialties based on unhappy and incomplete transactions involving Chuck Mars.

Recently I completed a very satisfactory transaction with Chuck Mars on eBay. I won an auction for chrome plated original C5 Fuel Rail Covers and an etched Intake Manifold Cover. The pieces are really top notch chrome work and the etching is every bit as good as the work Aaron did for me two years ago.

The eBay auction was not done as PDS but under a different name. When I found out that it was indeed coming from PDS, I was apprehensive because of all the complaints and flames on Chuck and the company. But I am completely satisfied with my transaction. There were no delays and no problems.

The reason for posting here is to offer any assistance I can provide to complete transactions that are unresolved and to help make anything right that isn’t. Please email me with the details of any transaction that I can help to resolve. Best,

mtv

I guess you were lucky or else 'ol Chuckie is taking his bi-polar meds and is acting like a human being. I would never ever trust him again, period! There products are the best quality and design but way overpriced.

You bought some parts off ebay, you got the parts in a timely fashion, and were pleased with the quality.

From that transaction, you are now qualified to help resolve past bad transactions with this (non-forum) vendor?

Interesting ruse. Seems to be a bit more goin' on here than meets the eye....

Could you post links to those ebay auction(s) you won?

Bottom line - one positive eBay transaction isn't going to make up for Chuck Mar's poor service.......

Sorry Guys, just wanted to do something if I could. There's nothing going on beyond that. Never met Chuck and only spoke to him once. I've got lots to do and don't need any headaches from any skeptics.

Sure, I can post the transaction link, but what's the point?

BTW: Chuck's got 2 negative feedbacks in 12 months and 242 positive feedbacks.......around 99%

No doubt about it, their products are top notch.

However, way too many lies (to me personally) and too many war stories for me to ever trust him again.

The only way I would ever do business with him is to have his product in my hand before I let go of my money!

did you buy the set of chrome plated plastic fuel rail covers and metal chrome intake cover? If so, just wanted to let you know I had one of the first sets of the coated fuel rail covers and they turned yellowish from the under hood heat, the intake center cover is a very nice part.

Chuck Mars is not an honest person, PERIOD! It is obvious that one transaction is not the basis for glowing recommendations. He has a history of treating customers with little respect, not telling the truth, no customer service in a timely manner. His history speaks for itself. I have personal experience with this guy and it was not a pleasant one. I would never KNOWINGLY purchase from this company, especially if Chuck Mars is involved. To each his own. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Hi Dale, I was wondering when you were jumping in on this thread. Brings back bad memories for both you and I.

My question is does PDS actually do the etching or are they just the middle man? If they don't maybe we can find out who does.

Hi Doug. I couldn't let it go by without some response. I don't want to see anyone get screwed like you, I, and many others did. I hope people realize the type of person Chuck Mars is, after all, he did get thrown off this very forum the very first day he spoke. That should tell all. Have a great day!
