I am in the same postion as you. My wife hated my old '69 Camaro with dual Flowmaster 40's and would not ride in it. I was orginally going to go with a set of Borla Stingers but decided against them after hearing them in person. Sooo, I my Corsa Pace Car system just arrived yesterday. They are going on Saturday morning!!! I bought a used set so if I get tired of them I can sell them and not be out any money. Good luck with your decision.
Lots of good advice here - best is to listen to the myriad of choices and decide yourself what you like.
Personally, I don't see the point of listening to the systems at idle or having someone blip the throttle a couple of times sitting still. That won't tell you how the system sounds IN the car at freeway speeds or around town running through the gears.
One thing to be aware of, some systems offer considerably less resonance thatn others. That resonance is that annoying drone that is a certified headache producer.
You said your wife has some concerns about the systems being too loud - she is more than likely talking about resonance. I don't know how you're going to do it - but the best thing is to go for a ride with someone and hear the actual systems in the situations I mentioned. Maybe you need to seek out a gathering of other Vettes and start by asking for some opinions, and see if any of them will take you and/or your wife for a ride.
No offense to anyone here - but we are all going to advise you to get what each of us has - and the only one that can say which system sounds best is you and your wife. I'm not going to tell you what I have, other than to say that I am very satisfied with the appearance and the sound.
You are right with the above statement. Each person has there own taste of volume and tone on there car. I live in the Oklahoma City area and there is a Corvette club in the area, which I will have to check out.
I love to go cursing with my wife and would hate for my only other seat to be empty because of my male testosterone Thanks for the advice and I will keep searching for the right exhaust.
I would suggest going to a performance shop that specializes in Vette modifications, preferably on a Saturday and check out the other exhaust options that people have already done. As long as they are stock too, because other enhancements will change the sound of the exhaust. Or check out the local vette club in your area.
I debated for a couple of months on mine, and ended up going with the Borla Stinger Dual 4" tips. The dual tips allow you to still see the transmission plate, but Borla now makes a quad package that does the same. hard to find though. I find that the Borla Stinger gives you that deep humm, without all the high pitch noise. Obviously with any exhaust, the more you get on it, the louder it will be. What I really enjoy about the Borla is that it gives you that girgle noise when you let off the gas. Less on the automatic than the manual.
Ok I have a 2000 all stock C5. To me the exhaust is to quite and I am looking for an exhaust with a bit deeper tone but my wife does not want it to loud. What I need to know is what would be the next step up in exhaust volume?
Thanks in advance
My wife claims I'm going deaf, so naturally B&B Bullets were my only option.

I have the same exhaust (4 tip round) and am very happy with it. At WOT you know they're there but at cruise speed they are very comfortable. The B&B PRT was my second choice. I listened to several sound bytes here on the forum and made my decision based on that. The Stingers are a nice system and easy to install.
i have the borla catback system (4 oval tips) it was loud enough at the starts...but it seems to be really quite now...that why i ordered the Kooks header system...hopefully that helps

Do you think you just got used to it or do you think heat and time actually changed the sound?
