Many people use a Hardbar to mount the camera to, but the suction cup mounts from ChaseCam produce some great shots! IMHO

Neither of the suction cup mounts will pass tech, at least not here in Houston.They made me me remove my carpets and center caps.Mine is the Woods Power Grip and uses a internal pump to create 70 lbs of suction, I've even used it to mounted to the exterior of the car at speeds up to 40mph without problems.

Mine is a 3028. anyway the differences are the levers that loosen or tighten the manfrotto head, as you can see on mine those levers are long and narrow and although location is totally adjustable by pushing the white button, they sometimes get in the way. The only other model I am aware of, has smaller x shaped levers, other than that they are identical.Mine was on sale for $90 the other wasn't.

I did a DIY one. Very inexpensive and solid as a rock. Absolutely NO jitter. Stick Pod's shake and get a resonance in them that can cause some un-impressive video..IMHO
