Adjustable Ride Control Service Dash Warning

What are the likely problems causing my "98 dash to display "Service Ride Control" every time I start the car? Estimated cost to repair. Can I disconnect a warning sensor switch smewhere to avoid the repair? Yes, I have the adjustable ride control option but never have been able to notice a difference when I changed the setting.

That makes sense because I just had the water pump, belts tensioner, etc replaced and the indicator started showing the message around the same time. Was your connection totally unhooked or should I look for something more complicated?
